ShastaYama 2015 - Taiko Regeneration, will celebrate "now" and "next" generation taiko artists and present exciting new ways of performing taiko with modern and world influences.
The award winning TAIKOPROJECT from Los Angeles will be the featured guest. They became the first Ameican taiko group to be awarded First Place at the Tokyo International Taiko Contest in 2005, topping all the Japanese groups at the competition.
Favorite guests and Portland artists, Michelle Fujii and Toru Watanabe, will again add a touch of elegance to Shasta Taiko's ShastaYama's performance. The duo will also present UNIT SOUZOU which explores their innovative fusion of taiko, dance, and theater.
